Civil Litigation in Singapore
Unlike mediation, evaluation and arbitration, litigation is the opposite of those. Litigation means the process of taking legal action- in civil and criminal cases commonly. These cases will be prosecuted by the State, in the form of the Public Prosecutor. In civil litigation, two parties are involved- the plaintiff and the defendant. The plaintiff (aka claimant) begins legal proceedings against the defendant, to pursue a claim.
